Dr. Latosha Rowley earned a BA in Criminal Justice at Indiana University,
Bloomington, a BS in Elementary Education at IUPUI, a master’s degree in
educational leadership from Ball State University and she earned a PhD in
Urban Education Studies at IU Indianapolis School of Education. As a former, dynamic urban, public-school educator and administrator, she served in several Indianapolis public school systems for 20 years. She is a civic engaged researcher and scholar serving as a Program Manager for IU K12 Student Success Corps and Program Director for Kids College providing leadership in transformative projects that focus on early childhood literacy, K-12 support services, and family engagement. She has been a presenter at local and national conferences where she shared solutions to urban education issues. She has implemented service agreements with school districts for IU K12 Student Success Corps. Two of her signature programs are Young Scholars where students improved reading and literacy performance outcomes and the notable Kids College summer camp where campers explored college life and discovered future career pathways on the IU Indianapolis campus. Her innovative programs provide tutoring, social emotional mentoring, college and career awareness and readiness to help young scholars acquire valuable strategies, knowledge, and skills to navigate school and life for academic, personal, and future professional success in their chosen career fields.
