From high school to college fairs, recruiters are connecting with future Jaguars across the Midwest and beyond.
As the fall semester begins, Indiana University Indianapolis is stepping up its efforts to reach prospective students across Indiana and neighboring states.
Over the next three months, IU Indianapolis recruiters will be on the move visiting more than 200 high schools, attending nearly 60 college fairs, and joining 15 community events to connect with future Jaguars.
“Visiting schools and meeting students in their own communities allows us to show them what IU Indianapolis has to offer,” said Jordan Stevenson, vice chancellor for enrollment management. “When we connect with students face-to-face, we can help them envision themselves here in a city full of real-world learning experiences and pathways to rewarding careers.”
Opening Doors for More Students
Through initiatives like the Seamless Admission Program, IU Indianapolis can offer admission to students with a 3.0 GPA at participating schools; no transcript needed and no application fees. Additionally, the Indiana Partner program offers a reduced tuition rate for IU Indianapolis students enrolling from select states. Students in Indiana Partners tuition states save an average of 57 percent.
“We want everyone to know that IU Indy is for anyone who wants to be here,” Stevenson said. “Our priority is to keep building enrollment each year by expanding access for students who want a world-class education without breaking the bank.”
Momentum in Recruitment, Power in Results
As applications open, IU Indy’s admissions team is here to make the process simple and straightforward. From the first step of applying to making the final decision to attend, staff and recruiters are ready to answer questions and help students feel supported. Students can apply through either the Apply IU application or the Common Application. Neither option requires a personal essay or test scores, giving students more flexibility in how they apply.
